Mailbox Alert works with a Ring camera pointed at your mailbox. It sends an alert with a snapshot of the moment when mail is delivered, a package is dropped off, or your mail is picked up.
How do I know if today's mail is still in the mailbox?
The dashboard shows a mail waiting or collected status at a glance, so you can see whether today's mail is still in the box or has already been picked up.
Does Mailbox Alert use facial recognition?
No. Carriers are recognized solely by their uniform or vehicle livery. Mailbox Alert does not use facial recognition and does not read names or addresses on mail.
How long does Mailbox Alert keep my event history?
Event history is deleted automatically after 90 days, and immediately when you unlink your Ring account or delete your account.
